HUBUNGAN DIRECT BREASTFEEDING KURANG DARI DUA TAHUN DENGAN RISIKO MALOKLUSI GIGI DESIDUI: TINJAUAN LITERATUR

Latar Belakang: Maloklusi gigi desidui dapat disebabkan aktivitas oral. Direct breastfeeding kurang
dari dua tahun dapat mengganggu perkembangan rahang dan meningkatkan non-nutritive sucking habit
yang merupakan predisposisi maloklusi gigi desidui. Tujuan: Mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan
direct breastfeeding kurang dari dua tahun dengan risiko maloklusi pada gigi desidui. Metode: Metode
tinjauan literatur yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah penelusuran yang bersumber pada database
elektronik menggunakan PRISMA-P (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analysis
Protocols). Hasil dan Pembahasan: Berdasarkan 20 penelitian yang dianalisis, memberikan hasil
bahwa direct breastfeeding kurang dari dua tahun secara signifikan memiliki hubungan dengan oklusi
gigi desidui dan meningkatkan risiko maloklusi gigi desidui. Kesimpulan: Direct breastfeeding kurang
dari dua tahun memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan risiko maloklusi pada gigi desidui,
semakin tinggi direct breastfeeding kurang dari dua tahun, maka semakin tinggi risiko maloklusi gigi
desidui, dan juga sebaliknya.
